The Devon Rio Grande is a
luxurious, spacious and very practical motorhome, but within the
confines of a vehicle that can still take you down those interesting
country lanes or into those spectacular old French cities. Based on the
superb Toyota Power Van, it is under 6ft wide and is remarkably
'car like' to drive with its all round independent suspension and power
steering. It also comes as standard, with refinements such as central
locking, drivers airbag, rear wash wipe, and heated rear window.
The Rio has a forward lounge
and sleeping area with the kitchen at the rear. The lounge consists of
two forward facing rear seats (both with three point seatbelts) and cab
seats that both swivel round to make the dinette.
Both front and rear seats lay flat
to make up two single beds, which are approximately 6'2" in length,
leaving an aisle from the dashboard to the tailgate. This allows access
to the kitchen, toilet, and out through the rear tailgate even when the
beds are made up.
The kitchen comes fully equipped
with stainless steel two burner hob and grill, matching sink and 240v
microwave. There is a large electric compressor fridge/freezer (this
means just switch it on and forget it), auxiliary battery, electric
hookup point and charger. A cassette toilet is fitted in the rear and
the main wardrobe has a foldaway partition, enabling the rear section to
be turned into a private washroom.
The furniture is handmade by
craftsman and has great rigidity and strength without using up the Rio
Grande's ample payload. The upholstery uses high quality foam, is
covered with top grade fabrics and is buttoned and quilted for extra
comfort.
Additional features include:
Driver & passenger swivel seats
Leather front seats
Driver airbag
Air conditioning
Stereo
Remote central locking
Eberspacher Diesel powered space heating
2 x rear three point seat belts
2 burner hob/grill
Fridge
Thetford cassette toilet
Reversing sensors
Towbar
This motorhome is in
excellent condition and has covered only 23000 miles from new and with
its lively and economical engine and the benefit of both an elevating
roof and power steering makes
for a very attractive proposition.
